We are going to start construction on our house THIS MONTH!! We are very excited and anticipate that we will be in our new home by Nov/Dec time frame. Joe Graber Construction was awarded the contract and financing will be through Monroe Bank. Please drive by and check out the different phases.
Big news on the property to the south of us...It has been purchased by Hidden Falls LLC. The plan is to demolish the front old building as soon as possible and at some point build a small neighborhood friendly business (prof. building, ice cream/sandwhich shop/coffee house). The property has been rezoned from general business YEA! to PUD. We supported this in the open forum of the planning commision so that it would protect our south border. The plan is to add 6 patio garden homes behind the small business and a large green space and walking trail to two large waterfalls. Four additional lots will be added adjacent to Foggy and be rolled into the current Homeowner's Association with the same Covenants and Restrictions. We now have protected borders on all sides. Things just keep getting better in our new neighborhood!
We are going to have an Open House on May 17th for tours, prizes, and refreshments to showcase our accomplishments so far. Please plan on an outing to see us that day.
Grass is growing and re-seeding is ongoing now, and we are contracting for some professional landscaping in front of our entrance gates.
Contact our real estate professional for further information. Hope to see you on the 17th or if rained out, the 31st.

Foggy Morning Glen is ready for some homes!! The asphalt base coat just went down October 2nd. Hydroseeding will be taking place this coming week and Foggy is finally done with this phase of development. We now have all the utilities (water, sewer, electricity, phone and cable) and a brand new 3 inches of base asphalt sitting on a foot of gravel. This road has been built to last!! We went above the current requirements of the County. At the very bottom layer of the road is #2 stone (very expensive) to form a solid base for the remaining layers and have the added benefit of allowing water drainage under the road. We also added an extra inch of asphalt to help the road hold up through the home construction phase. The sidewalks and additional inch of top finish asphalt will go down in about two years.
Jeanne and I are going to start construction on our home on Lot #9 in the Spring!! We are very excited and look forward to meeting our future neighbors. If anyone would like to look at our house plans let us know. There is a lot of interest and I know a lot of you are waiting to see that everything is completed...well, go look... it is absolutely beautiful out there, especially now that the trees are turning!! Lot #1 is about to be reserved and Lot#13 is being cleared for their future home site. Look for a Grand Opening soon. Building permits can now be issued!!

We have established this blog to provide updates on the progress of the Foggy Morning Glen development.
We have encountered many weather delays as it rained all winter and spring! Our contractor said "this is the most rain I've seen in 14 years". The construction of Foggy Morning Glen is nearing completion and the entrance gate was recently finished. The utilities are all in and the installation of the sewer system has begun. After completion of the sewer, the asphalt will be poured, the clearing and seeding along the roadways will be done, and Foggy Morning Glen will be ready for some homes.
We are very excited about the development and we, ourselves, will begin building our own home on Lot #9 in the Spring. We are in the process of finalizing our choice of house plans and look forward to moving into our new home by Fall of 2009.
Lot #13/14 has also been sold and the owners plan to build their home sometime next year.
